Best Director Award – Laila Monterey: A Story of Great Solidarity

Small budget made up for by creativity
With her sensitively written screenplay for “1821”, director Laila Alina Monterey succeeded in making this not inconsiderable part of 200 years of Tyrolean history emotional and moving. In particular, the main actors, Lisa Hörtnagl and Francesco Cirolini, impressively show the needs and fears of the people through their acting. As part of the International Business Film Days, which took place last May and at which the best productions from the business film industry in Germany, Austria, Luxembourg and Liechtenstein are honored every two years, the 42-year-old director and screenwriter was delighted that she Award for “Best Director”.
