Among the most interesting offers that we have found in the week of Black Friday 2022 are discounts on many of Garmin’s best-selling products. Like, for example, those that we have found in the hybrid smartwatch Garmin vívomove Style (You know that the Garmin vívomove HR has always made us tingle, tingle, and this hybrid shares a design) and the Garmin Fenix 6X Pro (which repeats its decline and marks a new minimum in its price and, beware, it has not become obsolete, and, yes, it continues to compensate for its unbeatable battery only in some hybrids that do not have sports or GPS features), but, above all, as which we have met in Garmin Forerunner 45 and Garmin Instinct 2 Sola modelsr. Probably the drop in these last two models is the best news of the Garmin offers: the first is right now the best sports watch for running and the second is the direct competition of the new models of the Garmin Fenix 7 range (yes, it already has time included in our list of best smartwatches in 2022), but at a cheaper price without going to watches from two or three years ago (and with a solar battery that multiplies its autonomy by two, which is something that you will surely value).
We also find the 36 percent discount on the Garmin Vivoactive 4, which at a price of 221 euros is the best we’ve seen on Black Friday this year. We are talking regarding a sports smartwatch with a battery that lasts 8 days without GPS and six hours with GPS and music, more than enough for a good workout outdoors. To be a Garmin I already tell you that it is an offer that is worth evaluating. It had been a long time without falling below 234 euros, the lowest price we had found so far, and most of the time it has remained at 250 euros. But it’s the Forerunner and Instinct 2 Solar that seem to us to be the best deals among the offerings.
Garmin Forerunner 45
With the Forerunner line, you can’t go wrong. Although this is the simplest watch in this family, honestly it is worth the vast majority of mortals, unless your thing is triathlons (there you have to go to a Garmin Forerunner 745which we have found outside of the official Black Friday offers for 299 euros) or simply getting lost in the mountains (and, beware, this Forerunner 45, although it is the simplest, has several geolocation systems, not just GPS).
Garmin Instinct 2 Solar
The price jump has an explanation: sacrifice the AMOLED screen for a simpler MIP (memory in pixels) screen. But it also has the basics: internal altimeter, a barometer and a compass with automatic calibration. The solar charging panel increases battery life by approximately 50 percent. In smartwatch mode you have 28 days without recharging. With intense GPS, 48 hours approx.
