Brussels – from November 24 to December 31
In 2022, our capital was awarded the medal for the most beautiful Christmas market in Europe and the world by the Best Christmas Market and Big 7 Travel magazines. So you don’t need to go to Cologne or Strasbourg to be intoxicated by the magic of the holidays. When the world envies us, let’s take advantage of the chance to have it near us.
On offer: 250 stands, the iconic Grand-Place tree and an ice rink in the heart of the city. Another surprise in the Brussels hood, the return of Brussels by Lights, during the holidays. The dates of the light exhibitions should be announced very soon.
And Brussels is playing overtime. On Places De Brouckère, Monnaie and Grand-Place, the markets will be held until January 7.
Bruges – from November 24 to January 7
The capital of West Flanders puts on its magical mantle for the Christmas period. Shopping, winter bar, light trail. Even Minnewater, aka the Lake of Love, is transformed into an ice rink for the occasion. The medieval facades will be lit and events such as choral concerts will take place in town.
For train travelers, the illuminated center is not far from the station. But on top of that, during the Christmas period, buses between the station and the city center are free.
Durbuy – from November 24 to January 7
The smallest city in the world is preparing, like every year, to receive its Christmas visitors. From November 24 to December 17, the market is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. From December 22 to January 7, you can enjoy it every day. The streets crisscrossing the city are charming in all seasons, so add a Christmas atmosphere and your dream is fulfilled.
Stands of all kinds, ice rink and lights will be installed to delight young and old. And for older children, the famous Potato with Foie Gras stand and many others are there, like every year, for a festive atmosphere.
