Bernd Storck is no longer Genk’s coach!

Bernd Storck, who went through Mouscron and the Cercle de Bruges, is no longer Genk’s coach. Storck had been at the helm since the beginning of December. “The club would like to explicitly thank him for his efforts to get the team back on track,” the club said via a press release. “The two parties have a different future in mind”, it is then indicated on the Limburg club’s website.

During the Storck era, Genk posted a record of 12 wins, 4 shares and 8 defeats in 24 games.

This was the third experience in Belgium for Storck, following his stints at Mouscon (2018-2019) and Cercle Bruges (2019-2020).

In his career, the German coach also led Kazakhstan (2008-2010) and Hungary (2015-2017). Before taking charge of Genk, he trained DAC Dunajska Streda in Slovakia during the 2020-2021 season.
