Bernardo Silva pressures Manchester City to move to Barcelona

Spanish press reports revealed that Manchester City star Bernardo Silva told his coach Pep Guardiola his desire to leave the team during the current summer transfer market.

And the newspaper “Sport”, that Silva asked Guardiola to allow him to leave this summer, and informed his agent Jorge Mendes in order to facilitate the process of his transfer to Barcelona.

The newspaper added that the move by the Portuguese star will push Barcelona to move to start negotiations for services, as he is expected to make an offer of 60 million euros, but the City administration will not give up the player for less than 100 million euros.

The newspaper pointed out that Silva’s arrival to Barcelona will be linked to the departure of Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong to Manchester United during the current summer Mercato.

Silva joined Manchester City in the summer of 2017, from the French team Monaco, in a deal worth 50 million euros.

The 27-year-old Portuguese played in the City shirt 249 matches in various competitions, scoring 48 goals and providing 50 assists.
