Bernard Clerfayt, the Brussels Minister for Employment, also in charge of Vocational Training, Digital Transition, Local Authorities and Animal Welfare, is temporarily withdrawing from his professional activities, his cabinet announced on Wednesday.
Minister DéFI made this decision for personal reasons, following the death of a loved one. The duration of this leave is not yet determined, specifies his office.
It might be a matter of days, and there are no plans to formally take over his powers by another minister.
The commissions planned in his presence in the Brussels Parliament should be postponed.
