Germany will send an “additional” Patriot air defense system to Kiev to help it counter “increased Russian airstrikes once morest Ukraine,” the German Defense Ministry announced today.
“Due to the increase in Russian airstrikes once morest Ukraine, the German government has decided to further strengthen Ukrainian air defenses,” by sending an “additional Patriot system,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The system comes from the stocks of the Bundeswehr (the German army) and will be delivered immediately. So far, Germany has delivered two Patriot systems to Ukraine, the ministry said.
