Although the production promised to show the origin of ‘Berlín’ as a suspicious thief, the truth is that the story only focuses on the robbery of a famous auction house and nothing else. Little is said regarding the previous life of Andrés de Fonollosa. Furthermore, on several occasions He is portrayed as someone naive and banal, even more so when it comes to love.
The little depth given to the characters, in general, but which is most missed in Berlin, also prevents empathy with them. On the few occasions when it delves into the characters’ past (Cameron and Roi), this can be disappointing compared to The Money Heist.
At the same time, it happens that some roles from the original series can be reflected in those of the Spin Off, such is the case of Keila (Berlin) with Río (La Casa de Papel), and Bruce (Berlín) with Denver (La Casa de Papel). Paper).
Despite this, the work in terms of photography and production is undoubtedly typical of a Netflix creation. The landscapes of Paris, the hotel rooms planned, inch by inch, do not disappoint.
