French striker Karim Benzema crowned his brilliance with Real Madrid throughout last season, topping the list of the 100 best players in Europe.
Benzema appeared at distinct levels with Real in the 2021/2022 season, with his contribution to the team’s victory in the Spanish League and the European Champions League, and ending the league by obtaining the tournament’s top scorer award with 27 goals.
The Spanish newspaper “Marca” conducted its annual poll on the best players during the last season, which witnessed the superiority of many elements of Real Madrid.

This poll saw the presence of 74 international experts, to determine the top 100 players according to individual and collective contributions over the course of the season.
Benzema ranked first on the list, followed by Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, and their Brazilian teammate Vinicius Jr.
As for Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star, he came in fourth place, followed by Kilian Mbappe, Luka Modric, Kevin De Bruyne, Robert Lewandowski, Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mane, then Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland, in order.
Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo ranked 21st on the list, while Paris Saint-Germain star Lionel Messi came 26th following his modest season with the French club.
Neymar came in 57th place on the list, and Moroccan star Ashraf Hakimi appeared in 67th place, and his Moroccan compatriot Yassine Bounou ranked 80th amid the strange disappearance of Algerian star Riyad Mahrez.
This list gives more confidence to Benzema in his biggest dream, which is to win the Ballon d’Or, the winner of which will be determined according to his level last season and not the calendar year.
