Divock Origi and Christian Benteke are experienced strikers who might help many clubs fight relegation to the Premier League.
Burnley recently lost striker Chris Wood to Newcastle United who are also struggling to retain him; the Clarets will therefore have to strengthen this winter, because they are currently red lantern in the Premier League, three points from the first non-relegation. To do this, they would have targeted two players, claims the Sun : Christian Benteke and Divock Origi.
The 30 million euros obtained for Wood might thus be reinvested and Benteke would be available for around 12 million, even if he signed a new contract at Crystal Palace last year (until June 2023). Origi is at the end of his contract next June and will be able to leave Liverpool for free, but a departure this winter is not on the program. Two tough options then for Burnley…
