Elected at the general assembly on May 3, Benoît Dubuis is the new president of the Swiss Academy of Technical Sciences (SATW). With the steering committee of which he has been a member since 2019, his task will be to pursue the various missions of the Academy, such as the early identification and evaluation of technological solutions, the promotion of exchange with the population, politics and industry or encouraging the next generation. “I am committed to the SATW because I believe that we must restore a reasoned confidence in technology and in its capacity to offer solutions to build a society that is more respectful of man and his environment. The SATW, because of its position as a bridge between disciplines, between actors, can play a leading role in this by relying on its unique network of expertise in the field of technical sciences”, comments Benoît Dubuis.
