Benjamin Rausseo reacts after the election results (+Video)

Benjamín Rausseo, who participated as a presidential candidate in the elections on July 28, spoke out about the results announced by the National Electoral Council (CNE), according to which Nicolás Maduro won with 51.20% of the votes.

Through his official account on the social network X, the member of the National Democratic Confederation (CONDE) party expressed his support for the CNE’s decision.

“I support the CNE’s decision and congratulate the referee who declared the winner,” Rausseo said.

Rausseo supports the CNE

“After the referee has pronounced his decision, all that remains is to turn the page on the election and begin a new chapter,” he added.

According to the results announced by the CNE, Maduro, candidate for the Gran Polo Patriótico (GPP), was reelected as president with 5,150,092 votes. Meanwhile, the candidate for the Plataforma Unitaria, Edmundo González, obtained 4,445,978 votes.

In this way, the other eight candidates, among whom is Benjamín Rausseo, received the same number of votes, according to the CNE.

Each candidate accumulated 462,704 votes, the electoral body said.
