Benfica thrashed (5-1), this Saturday, Vitória de Guimarães, at Estádio da Luz. Gonçalo Ramos, João Mário, in a double dose, Dani Silva, in his own goal, André Silva and António Silva scored the goals of the match.
The reds opened the scoring in the 13th minute, with Gonçalo Ramos taking advantage of a deflection by Rafa. In the 28th minute, João Mário, from the penalty spot, extended the advantage and ended up scoring twice before the break following an assist by Gonçalo Ramos.
In the second half, André Silva, with an own goal, scored the fourth goal for the reds. André Silva still reduced for the Guimarães and António Silva, with a header, closed the scoring.
With this result, the ninth consecutive victory in the League, the reds now have 68 points, 11 more than FC Porto and 13 than Sporting de Braga, teams that face each other on Sunday. Vitória de Guimarães, with 40 points, remains in fifth place for Arouca.
