At a meet and greet session in the UK, Sara Khan opened up about crying in plays.

About filming crying scenes in dramas, Sara Khan said that I did this show because I wanted to show that I can do something other than cry. I mostly do sad characters, but I can’t cry during scenes.

Sara Khan further said, “Directors often tell me, ‘Sara, please think of something sad that happened to you and cry after attributing yourself to it,’ but I can’t cry and I don’t.” My answer is that there have been many sad events in my life but I don’t feel like crying. So I always use artificial crying techniques to bring tears in dramas.

Sara Khan is married to singer Falak Shabbir and has a lovely daughter Ileana.
