This is very sad news that was announced during the night of July 29 to July 30. Yannik Mazzilli has passed away. He was an actor who became popular over the years, pursuing a wonderful career in both theater as well as on television and in film.

An obituary was posted on the site Libra Memoria stating that his death occurred on July 29. Furthermore, his memory will be properly honored, and on two occasions. “The tribute to Yannik will take place at the Théâtre de la Renaissance on Friday, August 2, at 3:30 PM. A moment of remembrance will be organized in Savoie at the beginning of September,” it reads.

Contacted by Paris Match, his wife Vanessa shared more details. “I would have liked a beautiful ceremony at Père Lachaise, but nothing was possible before mid-August. So he was able to be cremated this morning, alone, with no one present. And we are picking up his ashes this afternoon, just before the tribute at the Théâtre de la Renaissance. We will hold a ceremony in his honor at home in Savoie in September,” she confided.

Tributes are expected from his well-known friends. Indeed, many are mourning his passing, including Mathilda May, who had him perform in her play Make Up directed in 2022 at the Studio Marigny. Also, Valérie Damidot, with whom he has shared the stage previously, and Enora Malagré, who wrote a small message in honor of the late actor.

A “last chance operation” had been scheduled in July for Yannik Mazzilli

Yannik Mazzilli also made a mark on the life of Anne-Elisabeth Blateau by playing the role of her brother Hervé in the M6 series Scènes de ménages. In an interview with Le Parisien, the actress hinted that he was secretly battling a long illness and stated that a “last chance operation” had been scheduled for July. “He didn’t tell anyone because he wanted to protect everyone. He sacrificed himself so that we would keep good memories of him,” she also reported.

Anne-Elisabeth Blateau expressed that she was “devastated” by the news, thinking of Yannik’s loved ones, particularly his children Mila and Liam, aged 18 and 15. “It’s so sudden and unfair, he is young, he has children!,” lamented the one who plays Emma in Scènes de ménages. Recall that on July 31, the channel altered the broadcast of its humorous segment by offering viewers the chance to discover or revisit the episodes in which he shone.
