Spaniard Hector Bellerin has returned to his footballing debut, Barcelona, in a free transfer deal, following Arsenal agreed to terminate the right-back contract.
The 27-year-old began his first steps in the football fields in Barcelona’s colors, when he was eight years old, and then left him at the age of sixteen to join Arsenal in 2012.
Bellerin played 183 matches for the London club, and crowned him with the FA Cup in 2015, 2017 and 2020 during a long journey in which he defended the colors of Watford and Real Betis on loan, which allowed him to win the Spanish Cup with the latter last season.
And Bellerin, who has played four international matches, will compensate for the departure of American full-back Sergino Dest to Milan, Italy, on loan, with the option of signing permanently with the “Calcio” champion.
Coinciding with the inclusion of Bellerin before the closing of the summer transfer period, Barcelona announced that it had reached an agreement with Danish striker Martin Braithwaite, to terminate the contract that linked him to the Catalan club until 2024, which allowed him to sign with arch-neighbor Espanyol until 2025.
It was reported that the termination of the contract would cost Barcelona 150,000 euros, but would allow him to get rid of the annual salary that the 31-year-old was receiving, estimated at seven million euros.
