In an interview with US “Vogue”, top model Bella Hadid speaks for the first time regarding her early nose surgery. Today she regrets the procedure – and emphasizes that it was her only one.
At 25, Bella Hadid has been through a lot: she suffers from depression and anxiety, has struggled with Lyme disease since she was young, talked regarding her eating disorders, her burnout and her body dysmorphic disorder – all while being one of the most famous top models in the world the catwalks are floating. There are also hundreds of voices claiming that her face and body are the result of countless cosmetic surgeries. She now clears up these allegations.
“It’s just face tape!”
In an interview for the April issue of US Vogue, Bella takes a deep look. She speaks openly regarding her difficult psychological situation, but also regarding the many alleged operations that the public constantly accuses her of. “People think I’ve completely changed my face because they compare me to a picture as a teenager where I look puffy,” she tells the magazine.
The photo on the left is often used as a comparison when it comes to the model’s alleged beauty interventions. Bella is just 14 on the recording.
«I have never used fillers. I have nothing once morest them, but they just aren’t for me.” The model has a different explanation for her famous cat eyes: “All these people who think I’ve lifted my eyes – that’s just face tape! An ancient trick.” What is meant is a band that is attached to both temples with clips and provides a lifted look through the train.
Nose surgery at 14
The fact that Bella denies all alleged beauty interventions is not new. But for the first time she also admits one thing: her nose surgery at the age of just 14 years. Bella regrets the surgery today: “I wish I had kept my ancestors’ nose. I think she would suit me well today.”
Bella is admired and celebrated for her appearance – but at the same time often criticized.
Mother Yolanda Hadid under fire
Hours following the interview appeared online, Bella’s mother, Yolanda Hadid, came under fire for the procedure. Countless posts on social media accuse her of not only allowing her daughter to have surgery, but encouraging her to do so.
“Bella has always felt like the black sheep of the family,” reports a Twitter user. “It’s so sad that Yolanda gave her permission for the nose job to confirm that something was wrong with her.” One of the replies to the tweet read: “Yolanda has not confirmed her thoughts. She initiated them. She’s the reason Bella felt this way.”
Many agree with the statement and threaten the mother: “Bella had a nose job when she was 14. Yolanda, if I catch you …”
Yolanda has often come under fire in public. In the reality TV series “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” she advised her other daughter Gigi – also a famous supermodel – not to eat the cake at her graduation party in order not to gain weight.
