Jeddah: Belize, a small country in Central America near Mexico, has cut ties with Israel.

The government of Belize said in a statement on Tuesday that it is withdrawing the recognition of Israel’s ambassador to the country and suspending the operation of the Belizean Honorary Consulate in Israel due to Israel’s incessant and indiscriminate bombardment of Gaza.

“Israel has not stopped violating international humanitarian law despite repeated calls for an immediate cessation of hostilities in Gaza and unhindered humanitarian aid to the hundreds of thousands of people in Gaza.” A statement released by the government of Belize cutting ties with Israel was described.

A different course of action for a small country in the distance is when its own Arab-Muslim sister countries, with all the facilities and right next door, can cling to Israeli ties and pretend they don’t see Gaza. Hamas, the Palestinian resistance movement that rules Gaza, welcomed Belize’s decision.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Hamas called on the countries of the world to fulfill their legal and moral responsibilities.

“We remind the nations of the world that they have a responsibility to isolate this fascist regime and bring them to justice for their crimes once morest humanity and the ongoing genocide in Gaza,” the Hamas statement continued.
