St. Gallen Belinda Bencic (25 years old / WTA 28) was authoritarian last night in Miami. In the round of 16 of the Florida WTA 1000 tournament, she spent only 78 minutes on the court to eliminate Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich (28 years old / WTA 60) in two sets, 6-2 6-3.

Bencic was able to rely on a successful first serve (72.7%, 4 aces) to make the difference. She also broke Sasnovich five times, only conceding his face-off twice. This victory allows Bencic to gain in any case six ranks in the world hierarchy.

Bencic will have a more than interesting card to play this Tuesday evening in the quarter-finals once morest the surprising Australian Daria Saville.
