El Pirata beat Decano 4-2 on matchday 15 of the Professional League

At the José Fierro Stadium, Belgrano beat Atlético Tucumán 4-2, within the framework of matchday 15 of the Professional League. With this victory, the Pirate, who had not won for six games, ended a positive streak for the Decano who had not lost for nine games on his court and prevented him from being the only guard for Vélez in the local competition.

With the aim of ending a negative streak of six games without adding three, Belgrano imposed the conditions early thanks to the stopped ball in Tucumán and hit first with the head of Aníbal Leguizamón, who entered from the far post to open the scoring of the party. Before 15 minutes, the controversy of the afternoon arrived that the entire Dean claimed: in Bajamich’s eagerness to want to play the ball inside the area, Quignon’s hand got in the way.

However, referee Darío Herrera was not called by the VAR as he considered that the hand was not considerably raised to collect the maximum penalty.

That play, which could have made the local team lower their arms, had the opposite effect and near the end, Atlético, who had had countless chances, tied the game at the feet of Mateo Bajamich, who took an unstoppable volley.

When time was running out and the fans thought that both teams were going to be tied at half-time, the risky double play arrived that put the Cordobans ahead: Jara’s play that hit the post led to the goal, again header, by Facundo Quignon, demonstrating one hundred percent efficiency in stopped balls and reflecting one of the weaknesses of the Sava team: defense.

By the second half, the defensive deficiencies of an Atlético Tucumán team that was in search of an equalizer became more visible. The predictability of individualities and spaces were commonplace in the complement section and Belgrano knew how to take advantage of it: after a great triangulation, Uvita Fernández extended the advantage for the Pirate.

When it was thought that the game was ending at 3-1, the last two minutes of the match gave the fans two more shouts: from Bajamich’s cry of hope when he scored the discount to the goal that sealed the victory for Juan’s team Real Cruz only spent a minute.
