Bad weather raged in Belgorod: a heavy downpour flooded the streets and entrances, a hurricane knocked down trees, and hail passed in some areas. Citizens shared videos of natural disasters.
“To date, there have been 27 reports of fallen trees, six reports of damaged cars, seven reports of minor damage to balconies, roofs,” — informed mayor of the city Valentin Demidov in the telegram channel.
He stated that the storm drainage system needs to be reconstructed. Now the brigades are using special equipment to pump out water in areas of severe flooding, and power engineers have begun repairing damaged power lines. Restoration work, according to the mayor, will continue throughout the night.
