Moscow. April 1st. INTERFAX.RU – Governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov reported an increase in the number of victims during shelling of the region from Ukraine on Monday.

“As a result of the first shelling, the number of victims increased to 10 people, three of whom were sent home for outpatient treatment. Another seven people remain in hospitals with shrapnel wounds of various parts of the body. All necessary medical care is being provided,” the head of the region said in his telegram channel.

According to him, damage was recorded in the city in 82 apartments of 23 apartment buildings, seven private households, five social facilities, four business entities, and 41 cars were also damaged.

In the Belgorod region, following an air attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the village of Dubovoe and the village of Tavrovo, building facades, outbuildings, roofs in private households and cars were damaged.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that at regarding 16:00 Moscow time, air defense forces repelled an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces using the RM-70 Vampire multiple launch rocket system, destroying 17 multiple launch rocket system shells over the Belgorod region.

At regarding 16:30 Moscow time, a Ukrainian drone was destroyed by air defense systems over the Belgorod region.

The second attempt to attack the Belgorod region using the RM-70 Vampire MLRS, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, occurred around 18:30. Air defense repelled 19 Ukrainian shells.
