Like every year, experts from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), at the end of a stay in Belgium, assessed the state of health of our economy (as provided for in Article IV of the statutes of the international organization ). The results are, overall, satisfactory. But challenges loom on the horizon.
The Fund also insists on the need to “continue the implementation of the 2022 tax reform project” – a euphemism and a slight slap in the face of Vivaldi, whose partners recently buried the proposals which had been put on the table by the Minister of Finance, Vincent Van Peteghem (CD&V).
