During the Consultation Committee on January 21, the federal government decided on new rules regarding the Covid Safe Ticket: from March 1, people who have not received their booster dose will lose their CST if their second dose is due more than five months.
This new measure was supposed to deprive 360,000 French speakers of their health pass, when it comes into force next week, reveals Le Soir this Friday. However, still according to the newspaper, this decision will ultimately not be applied. Frank Vandenbroucke’s cabinet explained to our colleagues that the legislative process “will not be completed by March 1”, which will not allow the rule change to be implemented.
See you at the next Codeco, which will take place on March 4. Use of the CST might be suspended if the feds decide to switch to barometer code yellow, which is highly likely given improving outbreak numbers.
