Last Sunday, a Belgian driver was arrested during a roadside check by the Gendarmerie du Nord. Indeed, the gendarmes were worried regarding the presence of a submachine gun installed on the hood of the Belgian’s car.
On his Facebook account, the French Gendarmerie du Nord kindly mocks the Belgian driver: “As part of their daily checks, the soldiers of the Gendarmerie du Nord are led to find some nuggets like this Belgian motorist who certainly finds our roads a little too dangerous But let him be reassured, the gendarmes are there.”
On this publication, we can discover the Belgian’s car, already threatening in appearance, a machine gun enthroned on the hood. After inspection, the gendarmes noted that it was regarding a dummy weapon. However, this is an illegal practice, the Belgian was told, as Flemish newspaper Het Nieuwsblad tells us.
