Big fright for a Belgian family on vacation in Italy. On August 16, parents and their three children decided to venture into the heart of the Piobbico mountains, in the locality of Sassorotto. Unfortunately for them, they got lost and mightn’t find their way back to their car.

Panicked, they managed to send their position to a friend who, from Belgium, alerted the Italian rescuers. Research began immediately, as indicated by our Italian colleagues from QDM News. They first found the family’s vehicle before rushing into the vegetation.
It was then that the emergency services were alerted by the cries of the children and their parents. Although they heard them from far away, they were able to find them and bring them to safety. A happy ending therefore, despite a moment that the Belgians will never forget.
