Gilles D, a former resident of Walhain, considered one of its main suppliers, received 40 months with a probationary suspension for what exceeds one year in prison. Manon J., also involved in this trafficking which mainly involved cannabis but also included a little cocaine, was sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment in absentia.

From 2016 to 2020, trafficking only concerned cannabis. Olivier C. and Gilles D “worked” together, the second supplying the first, before a dispute opposed them and they each operated on their own. Several people were also selling on behalf of Olivier C. when Gilles D., who supplied him, was intercepted in November 2021 by the traffic police in Overijse while he was in possession of 200 grams of cannabis.

Franky D. tried for drug trafficking in Antwerp? He says he acted with the mafia as an infiltrator in the service of the American “drugs” and the Belgian police.

All members of the traffic were in turmoil, without realizing that their communications were being tapped. In January 2022, Olivier C. was arrested while driving a rental car, while he was in possession of drugs. During the investigation, a home visit allowed investigators to get their hands on 540 grams of cannabis, hidden in a cache set up in a BMW.

In addition to the four-year prison sentence imposed by default, the judgment handed down on Monday confiscated Olivier C.’s car as well as 35.00 euros. Gilles D, for his part, had his BMW confiscated as well as 25,000 euros.
