Belgium midfielder Eden Hazard has announced his retirement from the national team.

Hazard was captain of Belgium at the Qatar World Cup. However, the team, which was ranked 2nd in the FIFA rankings and was expected to advance to the top following the 3rd place in the previous tournament, was able to manage only one win and was decided to disappear from the tournament in 3rd place in Group F.

Belgium, who suffered an early defeat from the World Cup, has already announced the retirement of Roberto Martinez, but on the 7th, captain Hazard will retire from the national team at the age of 31.
