Belgian actor Noureddine Farihi, known for starring in RTBF’s ‘Pandore’ series, has died

Noureddine Farihi, known for his roles in the series pandora of RTBF and Home VRT, died at the age of 65, his manager announced on Wednesday.

The Belgian actor died in his sleep overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday from cancer, his family citing “an unfair and short battle”.

Noureddine Farihi became known to the general public with his role as Mo Fawzi in the Dutch-language soap Home. He will play his character there for 15 years, from 1996 to 2011. The actor will then make appearances in the film patser (2018) and in the series “Chaussée d’Amour” (2016). One of his last roles was that of commissioner Van Bocksel in the series pandorain 2022.

In recent years, Noureddine Farihi was mainly active in international productions such as Crisis unit (2020) et Robbers (2021). Last spring, he was also seen on the set of the American film Last Voyage of the Demeterdue out in 2023.

Noureddine Farihi leaves behind his partner and two children. A moment of meditation will take place on Wednesday at the Antwerp mosque El fath En Nassr at 4 p.m.
