Moscow. 22nd of May. INTERFAX.RU – President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that on Wednesday in Moscow he would meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to BelTA, he said this in Minsk at a meeting with Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoy.
“As the government reports to me, well, there are almost no problems (in relations with Russia – IF). I have little faith in it. I see from the situation that there are still problems, some inconsistencies. Sometimes bureaucracy. Who is to blame? So that when meeting the day following tomorrow in Moscow, Russian President Putin and I might discuss and resolve those problems that should not be in our relations at all,” the president said.
According to Lukashenka, his frequent meetings with Putin are designed to remove the problematic issues of bilateral relations.
“But this (frequent meetings – IF) not to look at each other. Although this is important – the mood of the presidents is always important. But, nevertheless, we tried to help governments untie some knots, including you,” he said.
The two leaders will also discuss the implementation of union programs, Lukashenka added.
“We talk a lot regarding this. But I’m more interested in specific programs here. As we called them, import substitution and so on. Remember, up to $ 1.5 billion, Russia was ready (highlight – IF). And I’m sure, and now they do not refuse, if somewhere undercredited up to this amount. We were ready to allocate funds – credit resources in order to replace those areas that were exposed following the departure of the Americans and the West as a whole, other unfriendly countries from our markets. Like microelectronics,” the President of Belarus said.
