According to the Belarusian dictator, Ukraine has deployed more than 120 thousand soldiers on the border with Belarus, Reuters reports. In response, Minsk deployed almost a third of its armed forces along the entire border, the state-run Belta news agency reported. Lukashenko did not specify the exact number of deployed soldiers.

According to Lukashenko, the Belarusian-Ukrainian border is mined like never before, and Ukrainian troops will suffer huge losses if they try to cross it.

“Due to their (Ukraine’s) aggressive policy, we have introduced and stationed our army in certain places along the entire border,” Belta quoted Lukashenko’s speech in an interview with Russian state television.

Belarus announced last week that it will strengthen its troops on the border with Ukraine. It did so after Lukashenko said that about ten Ukrainian drones bound for Russia had violated Belarusian airspace, which he described as a provocation.
