At least 23 people killed on Saturday

At least 23 people died and another 93 were injured throughout Saturday in Israeli attacks in different parts of Lebanon, the Ministry of Public Health reported this Sunday.

The government department said in a statement that the victims were registered in the southern provinces of South Lebanon and Nabatieh; the eastern Bekaa and Baalbek-Hermel; as well as at the Mount Lebanon plant, adjacent to Beirut.

Some 220,000 displaced people from Lebanon to Syria and new routes

On the other hand, the number of people who have crossed the Syrian border fleeing violence in Lebanon has already risen to 220,000, while their routes have been altered by the Israeli bombing two days ago near the main border crossing, reported the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).

Since the start of an intense Israeli air campaign against Lebanon two weeks ago, some 220,000 have fled by land to Syria, of whom it is estimated that around 70% are Syrian citizens and 30% Lebanese, with only a few third-party cases. countries, according to a report published by UNHCR.
