The famous American actor, Robert De Niro, expressed his happiness about being in Istanbul, noting that visiting this Turkish city is “a wonderful thing.”
This came in statements he made to reporters, on Sunday, on the sidelines of his visit to Istanbul to participate in an event he was invited to in a restaurant he is a partner in.
He added that he had previously visited Istanbul, but they were generally short visits.
He stressed that “being in Istanbul is wonderful.”
He made it clear that he would be willing to accept an offer to shoot a movie in Istanbul, if such a proposal was presented to him.
And about his most favorite places in Istanbul, the famous American actor said that he prefers to visit the carpet market, indicating that he intends to take his daughter to this place.
In response to a question about Turkish cinema, the 78-year-old American actor said he wished he had seen some Turkish films before his visit to Istanbul.
