Being a truck driver: dangerous for your health?

Generally, when we talk regarding truck drivers, we think of road accidents. But beyond that, there are other risks associated with this job, which can harm health:

1. Back pain

When you are on the road, you are subjected all day to vibrations in the back. Vibrations that depend on the vehicle you drive, the number of hours you drive and the state of the roads. They can cause problems in the back, neck and knee joints. For this reason, ideally, truck drivers should be able to do short exercise sessions during their breaks, so that their spine remains balanced.

2. Digestive disorders and hemorrhoids

When you sit in a warm place for a long time, the hemorrhoidal veins can swell. Among truck drivers, this infection is quite common and must be treated. In prevention and to avoid this type of infection, there are “phlebotropic” drugs, which increase the tone of the veins. It is also better to avoid spicy food and constipation.
