The reporter learned from the official website of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee that there is a 10-second traditional Chinese medicine experience hall in the square area of the Beijing Winter Paralympic Village. During the Winter Olympics, the experience hall popularized the culture of traditional Chinese medicine for more than 2,000 residents of the Winter Olympic Village. After the Winter Olympics, the 10 Seconds Traditional Chinese Medicine Experience Center made a lot of targeted changes for the Winter Paralympics. It is understood that the concept of serving the disabled has been integrated into the 10 Seconds Traditional Chinese Medicine Experience Center when it was built, and the facilities in the museum are designed to meet the needs of the disabled. The ever-changing screen used to display the culture of traditional Chinese medicine, the height of the screen can be adjusted flexibly, and the screen can be moved up and down, so that the disabled can touch all the content on the screen without affecting the operation and experience. The 360-degree surround screen exhibition area has been replaced by the Wuqinxi experience during the Winter Olympics to the immersive experience in spring, summer, autumn and winter, making the viewing angle more comfortable and content interaction more applicable.
Volunteers in the museum use semi-squatting explanations to popularize Chinese medicine culture for the disabled, and provide them with “first experience” of Chinese medicine therapy, including rubbing acupoints, scraping, etc. They will also give them scraping boards and acupuncture sticks to teach them some knowledge Simple acupuncture points and learn to apply related techniques. When the Beijing Winter Paralympic Village was just opened, an American wheelchair curling athlete came to the hall. She was particularly interested in the Chinese herbal medicine on the screen. After opening it, she took the initiative to introduce some usages. It turned out that the curling player was a doctor before and had studied and experienced Chinese medicine. When visiting Tongren Acupuncture, she shared her previous experience of acupuncture with the volunteers. After the visit, the volunteers gave her an English book on Chinese medicine culture. She was very happy and said that she would read it carefully and learn more regarding Chinese medicine.
