[Sports news]15-year-old Russian figure skating “genius girl” Kamila Valieva (Kamila Valieva) made her debut at the Winter Olympics and won four gold medals. On Monday (7th), she made two “quadruple jumps” in the women’s singles free skate of the figure skating team competition, becoming the first person in the history of the Winter Olympics to lead the Russian army to win the gold medal. However, the award ceremony held on Tuesday was postponed due to legal issues. Today (10th), foreign media revealed that it may be related to Hualiva’s drug test!

Hua Liwa scored a high score of 90.18 points in the women’s short program of the figure skating team competition on Sunday (6th). The next day, she was still unmatched in the free skate, ranking first with 178.92 points. She also completed the four-week jump twice, becoming the first female figure skater in history to complete this super difficult action at the Olympics. In the end, the Russian Olympic Committee won the gold medal in the team competition with a total score of 74 points, the United States ranked second with 65 points, and Japan won the bronze medal with 63 points. However, the British media “Insidethegames” was the first to break the news today that the reason for the sudden suspension of the team competition award ceremony scheduled for Tuesday (8th) was related to Hua Liwa’s drug test before the Winter Olympics.

“Archyde.com” quoted Russian media reports that Hua Liwa’s drug test was positive. The drug she used should be Trimetazidine. Although this is not related to improving athletic ability, it is mainly used for heart disease and chest pain. However, trimetazine was listed as a banned drug in 2013. Previously, Chinese swimmer Sun Yang used the drug in 2014 and was banned from competition for 3 months.

According to the regulations of the World Anti-Doping Organization (WADA), athletes under the age of 16 will be “protected” and will not formally announce the results of drug tests. The Russian media “Sports Express” said that Hua Liwa was mired in a drug test scandal and would not appear in the women’s figure skating single skating event later.
