Beijing: A strong Moroccan delegation participates in the China-Africa summit – Medi1 News

The head of government, Aziz Akhannouch, took part, on Wednesday at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, in a reception offered by the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, in honor of the heads of state and government participating in the Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).

At the head of a large Moroccan delegation, Akhannouch represents His Majesty King Mohammed VI during the work of this Summit which is being held in Beijing from September 4 to 6.

The Moroccan delegation is notably composed of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad, Nasser Bourita, the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies, Mohcine Jazouli, and the President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), Chakib Alj.

China, which sees Morocco as a key partner in Africa, is counting on the Kingdom’s leadership for the success of this event. The strategic partnership between the two countries, established in 2016 during His Majesty’s historic visit to Beijing, continues to strengthen, particularly through ambitious projects.
