“Helene Fischer Show” was recorded twice
The TV viewers saw a very human Helene Fischer, but hardly any hints of any mishaps. There is a good reason for this. The “Helene Fischer Show” was recorded twice in Düsseldorf on December 1st and 2nd. The TV broadcast was then made from the material. If Helene Fischer messed up one time or a guest messed up his performance, the other version was used. Even the small mistakes between performances must be left out.
However, many of the spectators in the hall filmed the spectacle with their smartphones. So if you dig through YouTube & Co., you’ll find lots of glitch compilations of the recordings. Helene Fischer, for example, calls gossip singer Beth Ditto a “very strange and unique” woman. Just one slip of the tongue among many. Helene Fischer is just a human being and not a moderation machine. And improvises successfully through some adversity.

At one point, however, even the 39-year-old reached her limits, as a viewer video shows. And there’s absolutely nothing she can do regarding it. Technology is to blame. According to the video, a floating ball in which she had previously danced is still standing uselessly on the stage. “I thought it would just go up,” Helene Fischer can be heard saying. “Ah yes, there are some too,” she says. It is not entirely clear whether she means helpers or remnants of the stage set.
Then you can hear the direction in the hall: “Yes, they will be dismantled quickly,” before Helene Fischer praises the “strong men.” But it doesn’t go quickly. Fischer has to improvise. She asks the audience if they are okay, whoever is there for the first time is happy regarding the lively attendance. Then she bridges the break with an explanation: “Actually, television is really different. We always have to stop like this. And I love that too, when it’s so fluid in you, here, bang, emotions build up, we cry with happiness. But that’s sometimes with these breaks… how should I put it? But in the end it will be wonderful.”
Helene Fischer masters difficult situations skillfully
She promises to applause: “You will enjoy all of this very nicely, very neatly cut on the 25th, comfortably on your living room couch. And now I think we’re ready. Is that right?” It’s not, she realizes. “We don’t have a go yet.” Small talk follows with the audience, she waves to a heckler. And at some point Helene Fischer can no longer think of anything and asks for answers: “Maybe our director can enlighten us all?”
