Manchester United played a new friendly match, today, Wednesday, once morest the Welsh team, Wrexham, in preparation for the next season 2022-2023.
According to the British newspaper, “Daily Mail”, the match was held behind closed doors inside the Red Devils training headquarters.
The match was held under the watchful eye of Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo, who was present at the training grounds without participating with his colleagues.
This comes one day following Ronaldo returned to United’s training headquarters, to meet with club officials in order to resolve his fate before the start of next season.
According to reports, Ronaldo officially asked to leave Old Trafford, wishing to participate in the Champions League following his team failed to qualify for the tournament.
The friendly match included the participation of the Danish newcomer, Christian Eriksen, to succeed in signing one of the Red Devils goals.
Another newcomer, Argentine defender Lisandro Martinez, who came from Ajax for 55 million pounds, also participated in the match.
It is scheduled that Manchester United will play two more friendly matches once morest Atletico Madrid and Rayo Vallecano of Spain, before playing the first official match next season once morest Brighton in the English Premier League on August 7.
