Behind Bars and Below Par: Elahi’s Bitter Taste of Incarceration Takes Toll on His Health

Speaking to the media on the occasion of the court appearance, former Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Zalhi said that there is no contact with Chairman PTI, my health is bad due to prison food.

The judicial complex vandalism case against former chief minister Pervez Elahi was heard in the judicial complex Islamabad.

Pervez Elahi was produced before the court of Duty Judge Shahrukh Arjamand on completion of judicial remand, on this occasion strict security arrangements were made in the judicial complex.

Along with Parvez Elahi, lawyer Safai Sardar Abdul Razaq also appeared in the court. Duty Judge Shahrukh Arjamand inquired whether the challan to the extent of Parvaiz Elahi had been collected by the court. On which the court staff said that only the judicial remand of Parvez Elahi has to be extended.

The investigating officer told the court that the challan has been issued to the extent of Parvezalahi, and the notice has also been served. Lawyer Safai Sardar Abdul Razaq told the court that Parvez Elahi has also appeared in Lahore court.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case against Parvaiz Elahi till October 24. Speaking to the media outside the court, former Chief Minister Punjab Pervaizalhi said that there is no contact with Chairman PTI.

Parvaizalhi once again complained that despite the court order, home food is not being given, my physical condition is bad due to prison food.
