Before burying his son.. George Wassouf sends a request to the people of his village

And Wadih’s body had arrived at St. Nicholas’ Greek Orthodox Church in Ashrafieh, Beirut, today, Sunday, for the devotees to raise it in front of the church and dance with it to the rhythm of his father’s songs, all the way to the inside of the church, in light of the screams and cries of his family and loved ones.

The body was carried and transferred to the town of Kafroun in Syria, where prayers are held for it before burial in the family cemetery, according to the Lebanese News Agency.
