In a new edition of the Córdoba Clásica cycle, the last of the season, Ludwig van Beethoven and Astor Piazzolla will converge on the stage of the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences (Vélez Sarsfield 299) of the National University of Córdoba ( UNC).

Starting at 9 p.m., the Córdoba Piano Trio, a luxury group that includes Pablo Rocchietti on piano, Lucía Luque on violin and Hermann Schreiner on cello, will perform the Trio op.1 no. 3 in C minor of the German composer and The four seasons of Buenos Aires from the bandoneon player from Mar del Plata.

“The life and music of Astor Piazzolla and Ludwig van Beethoven, separated by centuries and styles, converge in the depth of their creations and the revolution they promoted in music,” notes the text that disseminates the program of this concert.

“Beethoven, going through a life marked by the fight once morest adversity and deafness, transformed the musical world with his innovative genius, challenging the conventions of the time,” the presentation argues. “Piazzolla, through his bandoneon, fused the passion of tango with elements of classical music, challenging traditions and generating a new language, taking tango to an unprecedented level of artistic sophistication,” he adds later.

“Both left an indelible legacy, challenging borders and conventions to define the music of their time and beyond,” closes the introduction to this Saturday’s show, which will also be the last concert of the year within the Córdoba Clásica cycle.

Advance tickets cost $2,200 and are available at Rubén Libros (Deán Funes 163) or through Córdoba Clásica’s Instagram. At the door before the performance, $2,500.
