“Beekeeping is now more than a hobby for me, it’s my second job. It’s on an equal footing with my main job as an IT project manager at a bank. With one big difference: I don’t have to earn anything from it. Which takes the pressure off things. I also see beekeeping as a balance to everyday office life. At first, back in 2015, I wasn’t at all enthusiastic regarding my wife’s idea of getting bees. But as is often the case, in 2018 I reduced my working hours in IT and started beekeeping seriously.
