A pop-punk group from Yogyakarta led by musician Heroherda, Karnamenye, is back with a new single entitled Pasangan Retak Melegenda, which can now be enjoyed on various music streaming platforms.
After releasing the song Marry Me on May 31, 2024, Karnathey launched Pasangan Retak Legendada as the fifth single for the Fortune album.
Previously, Karnameraka had prepared four other singles, namely Titik Nadir, Serati, Bilang Pada Tuhanmu, and Marry Me.
Regarding the launch of Pasangan Retak Legendada, Karnameraka’s vocalist and guitarist, Heroherda explained that the relevance of this song is very large for his group’s listeners.
“If you look at the audience during performances and streams, most of them… [dari mereka] “are at the Senior High School (SMA) and college/university level, which we think still often experiences love affairs and heartbreak,” said Heroherda.
The lyrics of Pasangan Retak Melegenda itself present a sad impression through a farewell message. Heroherda who wrote this song, admitted that the tempo presented in Pasangan Retak Melegenda is indeed slower when compared to the singles Titik Nadir and Marry Me.

Herda – Heroherda’s nickname – described that technically, the arrangement of this song was created to be simpler, and there was not even a sequencer ‘filling’ when compared to Titik Nadir which had a very dense sequencer.
Herda added, “For this song, we were more relaxed in working on it. It took about two weeks to complete the lyrics, and a month to complete the recording process.”
This pop-punk song was worked on at Karnameraka’s private studio in Yogyakarta.

The music video for this single was directed by Usman Hasan
Not only releasing a single on a music platform, Karnameraka also released a music video for Pasangan. The group that is big in the Indonesian pop punk scene appointed Usman Hasan as the director of the video clip for this song.
Usman has previously directed Karnamenye’s music videos such as Ayah Ibu, Semesta Salut Padamu, Coba Posisi, and Missin You.
The concept of the video, which was worked on by Usman, tells the story of a musician and his partner who are in love. However, because the musician is busy with his music, their relationship becomes strained.
Quarrels began to occur, until in time, his partner found comfort in another man. The musician realized that he was still in love. But what can they do, they can’t be together anymore because it will only hurt each other. The music video for Pasangan can be enjoyed on the official Karnamerak channel on YouTube. (Z-1)
