I wrote – Manal El-Gioshy:
On May 15, 1938, the great director Inaam Muhammad Ali, who is considered one of the pioneers of television drama, was born. During her artistic career, she presented immortal works, including: (Umm Kulthum, Qassem Amin, She and the Impossible).
During her honor at the last session of the Aswan International Film Festival for Women’s Films, the great director told regarding the first collaboration she had with the lady of the Arab screen, Faten Hamama.
She said that she tried to persuade her to submit a television work, so “Faten” hesitated, and following thinking, she decided to try television drama through “educational” work, so she held work sessions with “Inam” and the great writer Osama Anwar Okasha.
She explained that the work is the famous series “Conscience of Abla Hekmat”, and following filming a number of scenes, “Inaam” asked “Faten” to repeat a scene because of the clarity of the “R bite” of the great artist, and she flatly refused.
She revealed that Faten Hamama “complained” to producer Mamdouh Al-Leithi, who attended the filming site and was excited. Inaam said: If you are not satisfied with my directing method, I can leave the series. He replied, “We are not directors, and the work was done in the end and achieved great success at the time.”
The series “Conscience of Abla Hekmat” starring: Faten Hamama, Ahmed Mazhar, Jamil Ratib, Nashwa Mustafa, Samira Abdel Aziz, Sabreen.
