Samsung has decided to abandon one of its most important exclusive components at the present time, in its older flagship phone, the Galaxy S23, due to the negative impact of the previous generation and the decline in sales.
In the first quarter of this year, Samsung announced the new generation of its flagship phones, the Galaxy S22, which came with new improvements, but it seems that it did not achieve the expected sales successes.
According to a report published by SamMobile, which is interested in covering Samsung news, although no information has been published regarding the sales of the Galaxy S22 by the company, market analyzes indicate a significant decline in sales of the family of 3 phones, despite the improvements that have occurred, especially following the adoption of Ultra model as a replacement for the Galaxy Note.
Samsung abandons Exynos processors
The company considered that among the reasons for the decline in sales of the Galaxy S22 is its inability to offer a new in its own and exclusive processors, the Exynos 2200, but its performance was contrary to what was expected.
The report confirmed that Samsung recently decided to stop releasing its exclusive Exynos processors, in the upcoming Galaxy S23 phones, at the beginning of next year.
The Exunos 2200 processor provided lower results than competing processors such as Apple’s A15 Bionic, which powers the iPhone 13, and Qualcomm’s first generation Snapdragon 8, which runs several flagship phones in the market already.
It is indicated here that Samsung launched the Galaxy S22 with options with the first generation Snapdragon 8 processor as well.
In the same context, other reports, citing sources within the company, stated that Samsung decided to make extensive changes to its phone processors, and there may be another model with a name other than Exynos for its upcoming phones, provided that the company spends billions of dollars in order to reach the best development to make it A real competitor to the processors in the market, especially Apple processors.
Galaxy S22 Failed
The report indicated that Samsung made several errors that were the reason behind the failure of the Galaxy S22, most notably the bad reputation as a result of the scandal of reducing performance in the series with thousands of applications in order to preserve battery performance.
Samsung apologized for the decrease in performance in the latest generation of its flagship phones, but this did not help in achieving the expected sales and prompted the company recently to reduce production numbers as well as the adoption of means of promotion through price reductions in order to sell.
