The 5th round of the Bundesliga match between Rapid and TSV Hartberg will be postponed to autumn at the request of Hütteldorfer.
As the Bundesliga announced late Thursday evening, the green-whites have submitted a corresponding application due to their advancement in the Conference League qualification. The game should have actually taken place on August 21 (5:00 p.m.), but there is no alternative date yet.
Last summer, the possibility for applications for match postponements was created in order to allow the clubs involved in the European Cup additional regeneration time. For the first time this year, Rapid is taking advantage of this opportunity to rest themselves between the two games against FC Vaduz in the play-off. When the home game against Hartberg will be added depends on how coach Ferdinand Feldhofer’s team performs against Liechtenstein.
Rapid if successful with solidarity payment to other teams
As the Bundesliga further announced, if Rapid advances to the group stage, 1.5 percent of the entry fee will go into a solidarity pot from which all clubs in the league who do not play in any group stage of an international competition will benefit.
