A new crisis is taking place in the artistic community, the cause of which is due to director Gamal Abdel Hamid, who reappeared after a long absence, but the talk of his return was not to the liking of some.
The director, who appeared in a television interview, talked about the series “Raya and Sakina”, which was shown 17 years ago, and starred by Abla Kamel and Sumaya al-Khashab, while the writing was written by the late Mustafa Muharram.

Gamal Abdel Hamid stated that when he received the script of the series written by Mustafa Muharram, he categorically rejected it, and presented it to the late writer Salah Issa, after which Abdel Hamid wrote the entire series.
The speech angered the writer Hussein Mustafa Muharram, son of the late author, as he decided to respond and defend his father’s history, stressing that Mustafa Muharram is one of the most important drama writers in Egypt, and he has works, including “I will not live in my father’s gown” and “The Family of Hajj Metwally”.

Hussein Mustafa Muharram confirmed that what was mentioned in the television interview had nothing to do with the truth, indicating that he had communicated with Jamal Al-Adl, the producer of the series, and the latter expressed his surprise and shock at these statements.
The son of the late author directed his speech to Gamal Abdel Hamid, saying, “If you want to make a trend, or want to draw attention to you.. or any need, it will not be at the expense of a strong, great scriptwriter like the great professor Mustafa Muharram.. my father.”
He stressed that if the director thinks that there will be no one to respond after the departure of Mustafa Muharram, he is wrong, and the matter will not be limited to Mustafa Muharram’s son only, but all of Egypt will respond to him.
Hussein Muharram asked Jamal Abdel Hamid a question about the reasons for his speech after 17 years of producing the series, and was it because of the death of Mustafa Muharram last year only? Therefore, no one will comment on the matter or review it.
Hussein Muharram touched on the works presented by Gamal Abdel Hamid, in which he was an author and director, pointing out that he did not present successful works in terms of authorship.
At the end of his speech, Hussein Muharram revealed that he had submitted an official complaint to the Film Syndicate to investigate what was said, especially that he would not abandon his father’s right no matter what happened.
