A former Egyptian football player was killed by his son due to drugs.
Ibrahim El-Desouky, the former player of Zamalek and the Egyptian national team, breathed his last, today, Friday, as a result of his laceration injuries to the head, and a post-concussion suspicion following receiving fatal blows at the hands of his drug-abusing son.
The security services in Qalyubia had received a report from the emergency police that a young man addicted to narcotics had attacked his family in the Farid Nada area in Banha, which resulted in the death of his mother and the injury of his father and grandmother.

The security forces were able to arrest the accused and he was referred to the Public Prosecution Office, which ordered his detention pending investigations.
It is noteworthy that 65-year-old Ibrahim El-Desouki played for the Zamalek team in the seventies, and also played for the Benha team and the Egypt national team, and is one of the most prominent Egyptian football stars in that era.
