Because of a video about transgender people, Musk raises controversy again

The American billionaire, Elon Musk, raised the controversy once more, this time because of an incident related to the issue of transgender people.

This controversy arose, first, when the Twitter platform, which he owns, blocked a 95-minute clip for the “Daily Wire” website, which activists in the “LGBT community” considered hostile to transgender people.

Jeremy Boring, CEO of the site, wrote that in addition to blocking the video titled “What is a woman?”, Twitter canceled an agreement between the site and the platform because the video violated the “misgendering” rule.

NBC said that Twitter had been banning this practice since 2018, before the new administration “quietly” abolished it under Musk.

Musk responded to the Daily Wire CEO’s tweet, saying that although he personally uses people’s preferred pronouns, “addressing the wrong gender” is allowed on the platform, and “whether or not you agree to use someone’s preferred pronouns is categorical.” Not doing so…doesn’t break any laws.”

Musk wrote that blocking the video was a “mistake” made by Twitter employees.

Organizations concerned with defending the rights of transgender people denounced the decision to ban the video, saying that it opens the door to more bullying once morest them.
